Overview

The Service Director conducts one-on-one sessions with each Service Advisor every morning. The attached document explains the content and process of these sessions.

Benefits

The dealership that created the attachment increased its gross profit by $8,000 in the first month by reducing single-line R.O.s by 9%. That dealership expects to double that every-month improvement as they get better at this process.

Action Plan

  1. Review the attached document to understand how one dealer implemented this practice.
  2. The Service Manager should start holding these meetings every day with each Service Advisor. It may be helpful for the Service Manager to sit in on a few Sales one-on-one meetings to see how this style of meeting can work well.
  3. The General Manager or Dealer Principal should sit in on these meetings several times each week, particularly at the start, to show that this process has strong support.
