Bob Monroe

With 40 years’ experience in the automotive business, Bob Monroe has worked in every area of car dealership operations from detailing cars as a teenager, to serving as GM, COO, CFO, and then owner of successful dealerships. His wide range of  experience includes:

• Graduating from technical school and working as a service technician for seven years before moving into service management.
• Working in dealership sales, consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• 12 years in service management followed by experience in sales, and then used car management for a GM Oldsmobile dealership in Akron, Ohio.
• Opening Medina Motorcars in Ohio in 1995. He also was executive manager for an Oldsmobile Pontiac store and was GM and Executive VP for a GMC Truck franchise.
• In addition to this wide range of experience, Bob had the unique opportunity to lead dealership knowledge transfer as he served as interim CFO and CEO during the Oldsmobile buyout by GM.

Bob has always been a leader in the industry, meeting or exceeding sales goals in every position he has held. In his work with Nickelsen Partners starting in 2003, he managed accounts in the U.S. and Canada, including Mercedes and Subaru of Canada.

Bob has served as a trustee of the Akron Area Automobile Association in Ohio, and has been a member of NADA. He was born and raised in Medina, Ohio and has worked and lived in Dallas and Portland.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Shefferton University of London. He now resides in Buda, Texas.  When he is not consulting with Nickelsen Partners clients, he enjoys golf and is a pilot with commercial single and multi-engine instrument ratings.
