Best PracticesThere are lots of different ways of doing the hundreds of things that happen in a dealership. Some of those work a lot better than others. We call those Best Practices. Each Nickelsen Partners Best Practice starts by stating the problem it addresses, then briefly describes the practice and lays out the steps for implementing it. Depending on the practice, there may be attachments that include detailed descriptions, pictures, videos, or supporting materials and tools. Check out some sample Best Practices:
Car companies can offer our Best Practices to their dealers in a range of ways. One client has created a section of their internal dealer website that serves as searchable library of these Best Practices. We helped them augment our Best Practices with others that address the client's specific programs or were submitted by their dealers and field staff. Others have looked into "pushing" these Best Practices out to their dealers, using e-mail to target appropriate practices to the right staff at each dealership on a regular schedule. The Best Practices can also be coupled with "Ask the Expert" services and other enablers of improved dealership performance.
